Injury Prevention

We know that prevention is better than cure – and usually ends up costing less.

That’s why we offer tailored solutions to assist our valued clients prevent injuries in the workplace.

Our vision is for all workplaces to be safe, healthy and productive.

WRM’s injury prevention services are fully tailored to meet the needs of our clients, whilst ensuring compliance to legislative requirements. Services include:

Our manual handling training, Safety1st, is customised to your workplace. Your employees are your most valuable asset and we teach them how to be safe when they are at work so they can live life to the full – at work and outside of work.

Safety1st teaches them how the different parts of their body work together to form the optimal whole, how they can prevent risk and the essentials of manual handling. It empowers individuals to make positive and safe choices and results in real behavioural change at work.

WRM’s functional capacity evaluation (“FCE”) provides you with an objective and accurate report regarding your potential employee’s physical ability to perform the tasks required of them. When employing someone you want to have confidence that they are fit to do the job and that their duties will not aggravate a pre-existing physical weakness. This can reduce expensive workers compensation costs (including higher premiums, lost time and retraining costs) over the longer term.

Our FCE will establish whether a potential employee is physically able to meet the demands of the intended job.

The benefits of our FCE include:

  • Consistency of assessment
  • A user-friendly report
  • A report that address the needs and purpose of the assessment
  • An assessment which is tailored to test the physical requirements of your workplace-specific duties
  • An assessment that can test a whole job or any selected task
  • The assessment can be performed on-site at your workplace

Our Fit for Work assessment evaluates a worker’s capacity to perform the physical demands of their job without risk to themselves or co-workers. Assessments can be conducted for all musculoskeletal conditions. A report provides a summary of findings and comments on the individual’s fitness for work against the functional demands of the job.

We can conduct individual or corporate assessments to review the workplace and ensure it meets WHS standards. We can also implement a rest-break and stretching program.

WRM works closely with organisations to tailor programs which will result in tangible health and financial benefits. Services include:
